Are you a modern gentleman who wants to look your best at all times?
The fast pace of a modern lifestyle can make working on your presentation a daunting task, and it can quickly take a back seat in place of getting somewhere in time or grabbing a quick breakfast.
We're here to help! It's worth taking a little bit of time out of your day, or even your week, to have a really good grooming session, and we're going to share 4 grooming tips so that you can use them as a go-to next time you spend a little time on yourself.
Let's get right into it!
1. Clear Skin For the Win
One of the most overlooked areas of men's grooming routine is looking after your skin. But it's arguably the thing that will make the biggest difference if you want to look young and fresh.
But rubbing any old brand of moisturizer into your face won't give you the results you want. You need to know what type of skin you have before you treat it. There are three main skin types:
- dry
- oily
- combination
These terms are self-explanatory, but establishing your skin type will help you source products that will make a genuine difference.
2. Make a Trip To the Barbers a Regular Thing
Growing up, your experience of haircuts might have been getting dragged along by your parents once every 6 weeks for a "tidy up". The first few days after a haircut you'd feel sharp and smart, but that look quickly fades as the hair grows in.
If you want to make a great impression and rock a clean, sharp look all year round, a trip to the barbers at least once every three weeks is ideal. They'll be able to keep your beard in check as well as your hair.
3. Keep Those Pearly Whites Pearly and White
British people have a little bit of a bad reputation for bad teeth. While it's more of a stereotype than a fact, there is some truth in the matter. Your teeth draw attention as soon as you open your mouth, and you want the attention to be positive.
Brushing your teeth twice a day, and even after every meal, will make a difference to the quality of your smile. Whitening kits can help too, and if you want to fully commit to the Hollywood smile, veneers are an option!
It's not just about how they look, though. Bad breath is an instant turn-off, whether you're on a date or at a job interview, so keep your mouth fresh with mouthwash or a breath mint.
4. Trim Those Brows
One of the easiest ways to have style that is often overlooked by men is trimming or tweezing your eyebrows. If you have a partner, ask them to do it for you, or grab a magnifying mirror and have a go yourself!
If you aren't sure how, have a quick "brows" (sorry) on the internet and you'll find tutorials that will help you get them looking sharp!
The Modern Gentleman Invests In Himself
It's not selfish to spend some time making yourself feel like a proper modern gentleman. If it helps you to feel more confident and able to face the day, then it can only be a good thing.
